Heel Foam Dressing (893060) 12X13cm

SKU: 05.01.0002

Multilayered hydrocellular shaped polyurethane foam for the management of wounds on the heel or any similar anatomical areas. Foam dressing consisting of an highly absorbent soft polyurethane foam layer and of a breathable polyurethane film which is water and bacteria impermeable but vapour permeable.

Euroderm foam heel is non-adhesive. This allows an atraumatic and pain free dressing removal causing minimal distress to the patient, even on fragile tissues. The high absorption of the foam dressing provides superior fluid management for a longer period of time.

This minimized discomfort for the patient and results more cost effective. The thickness of the foam ensures a cushioning effect. Euroderm foam heel reduces pressure over the heel area, thereby reducing friction and sheer stresses and giving excellent patient comfort and protection.

It needs a secondary fixation dressing (tape, polyurethane films – Euroderm or Euroderm roll- or cohesive bandage). For the treatment of necrotic or fibrinous wounds it is advisable to use it in combination with Hydromed gel.

The dressing can stay in place for up to 7 days. The frequency of change results from the clinical conditions, the type of wound and the quantity of exudates.
